Four students win civil engineering honors


In the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, four students
received the Richard Lee Russel Award for outstanding seniors entering
graduate study in civil and environmental engineering: Eugene Y.
Chuang of Wethersfield, CT; Jane W. Metzinger of Lynnfield, MA;
Gabriel J. Riopel of Castro Valley, CA, and Enrique R. Vivoni of
Rio Peidras, PR.

Mr. Riopel also received the Steinberg Prize for undergraduate academic
achievement and demonstrable interest in construction management.

Diana M. Dorinson, a senior from San Anselmo, CA, received the Leo
'24 and Mary Grossman Award for outstanding undergraduate academic
achievement and a strong interest in transportation.
