Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) is celebrating its 60th anniversary by extending free membership passes to MIT students.
Students can borrow the passes, issued in the form of key rings, from the Office of the Arts, Rm E15-205, through December 31. Through this program, students will receive several benefits exclusive to members of the ICA, such as advance notice of special events, a free copy of the ICA's quarterly newsletter, discounts on selected entertainment, and event tickets and an invitation to the October 23 opening of New Histories, an international group exhibition that examines how personal and cultural histories inform the language of visual artists.
Participating students must present the key ring along with their valid student ID at the ICA at 955 Boylston St. The ICA is currently showing Buried Secrets, an installation by multimedia artist Bill Viola commissioned for the US Pavillion at the 1995 Venice Biennale.
