11 win United Way raffle prizes

As of February 22, MIT's 1995 United Way campaign stood at $279,825, or 87 percent of its $322,000 goal. There were 57 Leadership Givers who donated at least $1,000 each, and 1,375 total contributors.

Winners of the donor raffle were drawn and announced at a February 14 thank-you event for chief solicitors. Everyone who contributed to the campaign was automatically entered. Prize-winners were:

Thomas W. Egan, Central Subcontracting Office-two $300 travel vouchers on American Airlines, donated by American Express.

Xiantang Li, Division of Comparative Medicine-overnight stay for two at the Cambridge Center Marriott Hotel, donated by The Boston Marriott/Cambridge Hotel.

Judith M. Brennan, Housing Office-overnight stay for two at The Inn at Harvard/Cambridge.

Neil R. Todreas, Nuclear Engineering-gift certificate to The Boston Sail Loft Restaurant.

Catherine R. Avril, Center for Technology, Policy and Industrial Development-dinner for two at Davio's Italian Ristorante at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge.

Thomas Crowther, Medical Department-Boston Celtics limited-edition poster.

Joseph S. Perkell, Research Laboratory of Electronics, and Martha A. Ward, Educational Council-two Boston Entertainment Books (North Edition), donated by Entertainment Publications, Inc.

Alexandre Ganachaud, Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences-two tickets to a production at the Huntington Theatre.
