Web sightings

The MIT Wearable Computing Web Page provides a look at Media Lab research into computers that are worn, "much as eyeglasses or clothing are worn, and interact with the user based on the context of the situation." There are links to information on the hardware and software involved, various applications for the technology (including "remembrance agents" and devices for the handicapped), research papers and projects, and related commercial and academic sites.

The MIT Press Web site offers a complete listing of books and journals in print, categorized by topic and then title. The book listings provide content descriptions, data on the authors, book length, cost, etc. Abstracts of articles in MIT Press journals can also be accessed. Elsewhere on the site are on-line news about book awards and MIT authors, listings of books that are on sale, an MIT Press Bookstore link and an on-line ordering form.
