MIT InterFraternity Council Press Release

The members of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) InterFraternity Council (IFC) wish to express our deepest concern regarding the incident this weekend at Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Our thoughts are with Scott Krueger and his family.

The Presidents Council met tonight, Sunday, September 28, 1997, and unanimously passed the following resolution:

All Fraternities, Sororities, and Independent Living Groups (FSILGs) resolve to voluntarily cancel all events in which alcohol is involved until all FSILG and IFC risk managment policies have been reviewed, according to guidelines established by the IFC Risk Management Chair, the IFC Presidential Advisory Board, and the Alumni IFC.

The IFC is comprised of the thirty-nine FSILGs at MIT. The Presidents Council, its legislative body, is comprised of the presidents of the member FSILGs.
