Space available on retirees' Cape Cod trip

The bus is already half filled for the mid-October day trip to Cape Cod with the Association of MIT Retirees.

The destination will be Sandwich with a visit to Heritage Plantation, which features exhibits of antique cars and early American arts and crafts. Following lunch at the Daniel Webster Inn in Sandwich Center, there will be a tour of the famed Sandwich Glass Museum.

Flyers for the trip, which costs $42 per person including lunch, have been sent to all retirees in the New England area. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Sept. 24.

The bus will leave from MIT's CRA Parking Lot (Main and Ames Streets) at 9am, returning at 4:30pm. Parking passes for the day are $1 and should be ordered when the reservation is made.

QUESTIONNAIRE REMINDER

Some 300 retirees have returned their questionnaires for listing in the 1997-98 Retirees Directory. This year's questionnaire was sent to all retirees who have addresses in New England and has elicited responses from many of MIT's "senior seniors," who were omitted from last year's mailing.

The directory team hopes to issue the booklet by early November, so retirees who wish to be listed are urged to send back their questionnaires as soon as possible. Those who need a new form may call x3-7910.
