Textile exhibit weaves spell

Peruvian Textiles: A Journey Through Central Peru, an exhibition by 1996 List Foundation Fellowship Program winner Kori Bevans, a senior in mechanical engineering, is on view at the Wiesner Student Art Gallery (2nd floor Stratton Student Center) through Sunday, May 11.

Ms. Bevans used the List Foundation Award, complemented by support from the Campus Committee on Race Relations, to fund a trip to Chinchero and Cuzco, Peru where she lived with a Peruvian weaver, studied and photographed secular and religious uses of weaving in Peruvian culture, collected affordable weavings and learned to use a lap loom.

The show is supported by the Albert A. List Foundation, the Committee on Campus Race Relations and the Office of Minority Education. For more information, call x3-8089.
