Prizes offered for student essays


Judges in the I. Austin Kelly III Prize Competition will award two prizes of $600 each for outstanding scholarly or critical essays in the following fields: anthropology, archaeology, economics, film and media studies, history, the history of science and technology, linguistics, literature, music, philosophy, politics, theater, visual arts and women's studies.

Rules and guidelines are available in the music office, Rm 14N-207, or by contacting Mary Cabral, x3-5623, mcabral@mit.edu. The deadlline for the contest, which is open to MIT undergraduates, is April 9.
