Benefits announces 1997 returns on MIT retirement funds

For the 1997 calendar year, the MIT Retirement Plan's Variable Fund showed a return of 27.1 percent, according to the Benefits Offfice. During the same period, the Fixed Fund member accounts grew at an annualized rate of 10.3 percent.

Benefits has also announced the availability of more extensive MIT Retirement Plan information on the Benefits Office web site. Users now have access to fund descriptions, top fund holdings and historical performance data.
