Meetings to help community understand plan changes


A series of meetings will be held this month on the changes in the MIT Retirement Plans. They are grouped into three topics as follows:

Topic 1 -- Changes to the MIT Retirement Plans

An overview of the changes followed by a question-and-answer session.

Topic 2 -- Your MIT 401(k) Supplemental Plan Investment Options

A discussion of the Fixed Fund, the Variable Fund and the new money market fund. This discussion will assume that participants have little or no knowledge about investments.

Topic 3 -- Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Higher 401(k) contribution limit��������������������������� more flexibility to transfer/exchange among investment options��������������������������� a new investment option��������������������������� How do you begin to decide if you should take advantage of this and other changes to the MIT Retirement Plans? This session is designed to help your decision-making. The discussion will assume participants have little or no knowledge about investments.

MIT campus meetings will be held at the following times:

Topic 1

December 10 at noon, Rm 10-105
December 11, 14, 15, 17 and 18 at noon, Student Ctr Rm 407
December 16 at noon, Student Ctr Mezzanine Lounge

Topic 2

December 15 at 1pm, Student Ctr Rm 407
December 16 at 1pm, Student Ctr Mezzanine Lounge

Topic 3

December 15 at 2pm, Student Ctr Rm 407
December 16 at 2pm, Student Ctr Mezzanine Lounge

Meetings will also be held at Lincoln Laboratory at the times below. Due to security requirements, only Lincoln Lab employees may attend these meetings.

Topic 1 -- December 11 and 18 at 11:30am, Auditorium

Topic 2 -- December 11 at 1:30am, Auditorium

Topic 3 -- December 18 at 1:30pm, Auditorium
