AMITA to mark centenary

The Association of MIT Alumnae (AMITA) will host "MIT Women Envisioning the Future" on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Faculty Club to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the organization for women graduates of MIT.

Speakers will include Emily Wade (SB 1945), president of the Museum Institute for Teaching Science Inc.; Shirley Jackson (SB 1968, PhD), president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI); Beth Marcus (SB 1979, SM), president of Marcus Enterprises; astronaut Catherine Coleman (SB 1983), recently returned from a shuttle mission; and Bhuvana Kulkarni, a senior in EECS.

The event will take place during MIT's Alumni Leadership Conference. All alumni/ae are welcome. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, Sept. 17 through Cynthia Skier (SB 1974, SM) at cskier@alum.mit.edu. More information is available on the AMITA home page.
