Italy's prime minister to give talk


Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema will give a lecture entitled "After the Euro and Before European Defense: For a New Trans-Atlantic Partnership" on Thursday, March 4 at 11am in Wong Auditorium (Building E51).

Prime Minister D'Alema is leader of the Democratici di Sinistra (PDS), the former Communist Party of Italy. He is the first of his party to hold the position of prime minister. This will be Prime Minister D'Alema's first trip to the United States. He will meet President Charles M. Vest on March 4 and President Bill Clinton in Washington on March 5.
