United Way drive at 95%

MIT is close to reaching its United Way campaign goal of $322,000 and urges anyone who has not yet contributed to send in a pledge form. Donations will be accepted through the end of this week.

As of January 22, a total of 1,153 members of the MIT community had pledged $304,645, putting the drive at 95 percent of its goal. The donor total includes 79 Leadership Givers who have pledged at least $1,000 each.

The names of all who have donated by January 29 are automatically entered in a raffle for 20 different prizes, including tickets to various theatrical and musical events, overnight stays for two at area hotels and more. The drawing will be held at a thank-you party for chief solicitors on February 9. Winners will be notified by phone or interoffice mail.
