Two musicians from the Department of Architecture -- classical vocalist Anne Rhodes (senior office assistant) and pianist Sally Honda (administrative assistant) -- will perform an Artists Behind the Desk concert on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at noon in Killian Hall.

Originally from Portland, ME, Ms. Rhodes began vocal studies at age 16 and holds a BA in voice performance from Boston University. Her main musical interests are opera and 20th-century art song. Ms. Rhodes will perform works by Debussy, Argento, Mozart, Gounod and W. Schuman.

Ms. Honda's musical influences began with three concert pianists and a concert cellist in her childhood home. She is a Boston Music Company Lesson Center faculty member. Her solo portion of the concert will include works by Debussy, Satie and R. Schumann.

The Artists Behind the Desk Series, which originated in 1987, is a standing committee of the Working Group on Support Staff Issues, showcasing the creative talent of support staff at MIT in the visual, literary and performing arts.
