Sen. Kerry holds hearing at Sloan

Sen. John F. Kerry, D-Mass., chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, conducted a one-person field hearing last Monday at the MIT Faculty Club. Two panels of experts discussed "Entrepreneurial Companies: Their Needs and Challenges in Today's Economy."

Appearing on the first panel were Jill Card, president and founder of Ibex Process Technology in Lowell, and Rock Steven Gnatovich, president of Spotfire, Inc., in Somerville. Participating in the second panel were Patrick Von Bargen, executive director of the National Commission on Entrepreneurship; George Gendron, editor in chief of Inc. Magazine; and John F. Hodgman, president of the Massachusetts Technology Development Corp.
