More than 350 seventh and eighth grade students participated in the 10th annual MIT-Cambridge Public Schools Science Expo, held May 6 at the Johnson Athletics Center. Dozens of MIT students acted as science advisers, offering suggestions and encouragement to the participants, who gave presentations on their work and ate pizza before embarking on tours of MIT's science facilities.
"It always seems a bit chaotic ... but it ran smoothly and the kids enjoyed the day," said Geeta Nagpal, a senior in biology and one of the Expo's organizers.
