MIT Global Startup Workshop's 12th annual conference to be held in Africa

The MIT Global Startup Workshop announced Monday that it will be holding its 12th annual conference in Cape Town, South Africa, from March 25-27, 2009, focusing on fostering sustainable ventures in developing regions.

The three-day, student-run conference, which will be held in partnership with the Wits Business School, brings together entrepreneurs, students, businesspeople and government officials to discuss the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to share best practices for fostering entrepreneurship. The conference has been held in 11 different countries on five different continents, and this will be the first time that the conference will be held in Africa.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about successful entrepreneurial ventures throughout the world, as well as to develop ideas for improving the entrepreneurial ecosystem in their areas.
