Of note: International Development Fair showcases global service opportunities

The annual International Development Fair (IDF) aims to showcase the many groups, projects and activities that provide MIT students with an opportunity to work on issues related to international development.

The fair, which will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, in Lobby 13, brings together students and organizations to promote awareness and to encourage the exchange of ideas.

Now in its seventh year, the event provides incoming and continuing students the opportunity to learn about ways that they can become engaged in international development through student groups, non-profit organizations, or academic course offerings in and around MIT campus.

Groups and organizations of all types set up booths to display their development projects and to enlist interested students.

The fair is organized by the International Development Network, a community network developed to promote and share information about activities, programs, events and formal academic offerings related to international development.
