Anna’s Taqueria employee stabbed outside Student Center

Victim knew assailant, police say.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, an employee at the restaurant Anna’s Taqueria was stabbed in the abdomen outside Building W20, the MIT Student Center, where the restaurant is located. Police from several agencies responded to the assault, and the victim was taken to hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim knew his attacker and was able to identify him to police. Police say the suspect is not an MIT employee or an MIT student.

The suspect was described as an Hispanic male, aged 20 to 30, 5’8’’ to 5’9’’ and wearing light-blue jeans and a red-and-black baseball cap with the letter “C.”

Police have asked members of the community that if they see a person fitting this description, they should not intercede but instead contact MIT Police at 617-253-1212 or by dialing 100 from any campus telephone.

This article will be updated if and when the suspect is apprehended.
