MIT CBI announces latest round of grants through the Sanofi-aventis Biomedical Innovation Program

MIT Center for Biomedical Innovation awards more than $1.1 million for 5 projects.
The MIT Center for Biomedical Innovation (CBI) has announced its latest round of grants, totaling $1.1 million, given through the Sanofi-aventis Biomedical Innovation Award Program. Recipients include Paula Hammond, Rudolf Jaenisch, Rajeev Ram, Anthony J. Sinskey, and Michael Strano. This program offers MIT faculty and researchers the opportunity to compete for funding for research related to diabetes, cancer, fibrosis and wound repair, infectious diseases, as well as research related to inflammation and immunology, ophthalmology, aging and targeted drug delivery. Proposals are sought twice a year (in the spring and fall).
