Alumni Class Funds seek proposals for teaching and education enhancement

The Office of Faculty Support seeks proposals for projects for the 2012-13 academic year that improve the quality of teaching, enrich undergraduate learning experiences, and uphold the tradition of innovation at the Institute. While the funds are in no way restricted to one approach or educational goal, funding priorities closely align with MIT's current efforts to determine successful ways to enhance the residentially based education of undergraduates through the use of technology.

The Alumni Class Funds are made possible by contributions from members of the classes of 1951, 1955, 1972 and 1999. Grants typically range from $10,000 to $50,000 and cover a wide variety of creative curricular and pedagogical projects.

Proposals are due on Monday, Feb. 6. Guidelines, necessary forms, instructions, and descriptions of previously funded projects can be found on the Alumni Class Funds website. Contact the Office of Faculty Support at 617-253-6776 or alumnifunds@mit.edu for more information.
